Since I brought this up in an earlier post, it makes sense for the sake of continuity and closure to report on the final outcome to this most recent local crisis re: Bishop Nikolai. Article here.
I’m reminded of an old saying that goes something like “Burned once, twice shy”; considering that the clergy and faithful of the Alaskan OCA have reason to feel burned not once, but twice in a row by the bishops appointed over them for their care, it is understandable how heartfelt their prayers must be, and with what trepidation they await the news of who their new bishop will be.
Let us offer our heartfelt prayers as well.
