“Who put the vitamins in Fred Thompson’s oatmeal?”

… my absolute favorite comment following the GOP debate in SC tonight, from Ed Morrissey @ “Captain’s Quarters“.  I’m still in Virginia visiting my aunt, and- heartbreak!- she doesn’t have cable.  But it certainly sounds like Fred caught fire and made the others feel the heat.

Looking forward to seeing whether there’s any substance to the rumor about a “major endorsement” for Fred tomorrow.

And dare we hope that recent events will mark the collapse of the Ron Paul campaign?  Sounds like he received a well-deserved smackdown (or more?) at the debate. 

I need to amend my previous entry re: RP- maybe he really IS a nut case after all.  Some people can operate with apparent success in life who nevertheless suffer borderline serious mental aberations.  RP might be a case in point, ya think?
