Two intriguing articles, one about the mysterious Israeli raid into Syria in early September, the other about prospects for U.S./ U.K. co-operation on a neutralizing strike against Iran.
The first: “We came so close to World War III that day”, in “The Spectator” (U.K.)
My only quibble is with the numbering- I agree with the idea that the “Cold War” conflict between Western democracies and Soviet totalitarianism was essentially World War III (1947- 1991), with the present conflict against Islamo-fascism being WW IV (start date?- present). And, we are not “close” to it- we are fully immersed in it, regardless of how widespread or deep the levels of denial.
The second: Britain ‘on board’ for U.S. strikes on Iran, from The Telegraph (U.K.)
